About Susan Quirke

Susan is a certified Vedic Meditation teacher, a holder of mass meditation experiences, and a multi-award-winning social changemaker for her work in the field of mental health and wellbeing. She has trained extensively in the ancient Vedic tradition for a decade, studying under a master teacher in the Himalayas in north India, South India, New York, and also Australia. Her training and practice spans thousands of hours over many years, and her approach is rooted in integrity, wisdom, and heart.

Before teaching meditation, Susan was already invested in social change in other ways as a multi award-winning social changemaker in the field of mental health. She has also led mass meditation experiences for 1000's of people at summits, events and festivals throughout the world.

Today, Susan teaches Vedic Meditation with individuals and groups all throughout Ireland and internationally (she can also travel to your home to teach you in person wherever you are based).  She also works one-to-one with international elite athletes, musicians, creatives, business executives, CEO's, community activists, GP's, and people from all walks of life. She loves supporting people to access their power, deeper presence, and creative dynamism.

Susan is also a songwriter, singer, producer and recording artist, she released her debut album 'Into the Sea' in 2021. Susan believes "music and meditation are powerful forces for healing and transformation in the world. I know they have been in my own life, something I'm deeply grateful for."

She is originally from a small village called Oola in Co. Limerick in Ireland and now works all throughout Ireland and all throughout the world. Her meditation work and music have been featured on national outlets such as the Sunday Independent, Irish Independent Weekend Magazine, Irish Times, RTÉ Radio 1's Arena, Hot Press, The Ray D'Arcy Show, The John Creedon Show, Late Date on RTÉ 1, BBC Radio Ulster ('Album of the week'), and Irish Country Magazine.

She has performed her music and also led mass meditation experiences from the main stages of major Irish festivals such as Electric Picnic and Body&Soul and for societal and cultural events like #StandForTruth where she led a meditation experience for over 7,000 people in 2018. She recently toured Australia with the wonderful Wanderlust community and Xavier Rudd, holding mass meditation experiences for 1,000's of people all throughout the land. She has also performed her music for figures such as the Dalai Lama and the President of Ireland in Áras an Uachtaráin. Incredible memories and hopefully many more to come.

She has worked alongside international elite athletes, musicians on world tour, GP's, clinical psychologists, farmers, CEO's, bestselling authors, mothers and fathers, psychotherapists, facilitators, community and business leaders, poets, surfers, broadcasters, DJs, people from all throughout Ireland and globally. She has also worked with sports teams including the Irish Rugby team, companies and organisations such as Three Ireland, ESB, the Law Society, the University of Limerick, Concern, Fáilte Ireland, Simon Community, The Soar Foundation, and CISCO.

She offers a popular Learn to Meditate online course (taught over 3 x 90 minute sessions), Vedic Meditation which is taught in-person only over 4 sessions, talks, mass meditation experiences, and one-to-one sessions. Meditation is mind-blowingly powerful and absolutely everyone can do it.

Susan is deeply grateful to her teacher Jonni Pollard and the lineage she is a part of. It is one of the greatest honours of her life to be a Vedic Meditation teacher on the land of Ireland and throughout the world.

She is also thrilled to have released her debut album 'Into the sea' on April 23rd, 2021. Prior to her album release, she released 6 original tracks alongside 4 music videos, achieved an iTunes no.1, and played at venues throughout Ireland, the US and Australia. Her debut album ‘Into the Sea’ features Irish music veterans Colm Mac Con Iomaire on violin, Colm Quearney on guitar, Robbie Malone on bass, Justin Carroll on piano, and Graham Hopkins on drums. The album was engineered by Ruth Kennington and Rían Trench, and mixed and mastered by Grammy award winner David Odlum, and co-produced by herself and Colm Quearney. Such a joy to create. You can read a blog about the making of her album and not giving up on herself below.

A story about the journey of making my debut album and not giving up on myself
